Difficulty Levels?

acetiff12I recently started playing Horizon: Zero Dawn because it was interesting to watch my husband play it. However, I noticed his struggle with boss fights and that a single hit from enemies often took out a large chunk of his HP.
I was reluctant to try it at first because it looked hard. But then I found out I could choose from a selection of difficulty levels. I picked the easiest and started having fun.
That made me notice that when it comes to combat-heavy games, I'm always grateful for the option to pick the easiest game mode.
What difficulty level do you usually play games on? Do you like that it's an option?
