i_love_games | More Flight Rising

Remember when I said there "wasn't that much to do" on Flight Rising when you're waiting for your breeding cooldown? I was a little bit (or a lot) wrong.

I decided to try my hand at the Coliseum, which is like a cross between the Battledome on Neopets and a turn-based RPG. You get to choose 2-3 of your dragons, and then basically you use them to fight wild monsters and stuff. It does almost feel like Pokémon, since you have a limited number of abilities you can use. You can't capture things in the wild, though.

I've decided to try a standard RPG composition for the Coliseum. A tank (Kai), a melee DPS (Tali) and a caster DPS (Varys). What I'm finding is that Kai is more or less pretty useless... so I'm thinking of switching things up so he's a melee/caster DPS hybrid. I think that might work a bit better. I'm going to continue to invest points into making him quite tanky, though. I figure that can't hurt.

As for how my dragons themselves are looking.. There have been some changes!

Tali & Kai look a little different to how you may have remembered them before.

Tali | Kai

I bought Tali the 'Seraph Gene', which gives her wings that lovely pattern you can see. I'm quite excited because when she breeds again, her babies might inherit that gene from her!

Speaking of breeding, I found a website which lets you see the possible colours that breeding your dragons can come out with. The breeding table for Tali and Kai is below:

Shae | Varys

Meet Shae and Varys! Varys was the 'chosen one' of Tali's first brood. He needed someone to brood with, and I want to start breeding different types of dragons, so I got Shae from the Auction House for around 10k. I decided to use age scrolls on them so they assume their adult form sooner. I thought it would let me breed them sooner, but I was wrong. I like their adult forms better, though.

I also decided to buy Shae the Tiger Gene, which is why she looks so pretty and stripey! She's also wearing some armour I bought for her, so you may not be able to see her colouring all that well.

Predictably, the colour schemes for the babies of my two newest dragons can be seen below:

Needless to say, I'm really excited about breeding my dragons again! I'm also keen for the site to stop glitching so I can earn some more treasure and sort out Kai's abilities so he can be more of a DPS and actually be of some use in the Coliseum.
