So I just spent the better part of my afternoon uploading a 3 minute video to YouTube of some gameplay I did in Defiance (PC). x3 I was trying out a program called Bandicam (which is oh so obnoxiously labeled at the top) and I thought it would be neat to upload it and share it with all you wonderful folks.

How many hours did it take to upload? Cause I quite liked watching you play knowing it was you and not some random stranger hehe. :)

It took about 3 hours to upload that video. I'm guessing it took that long because they don't have the fastest cable option plus it uploaded in 1080 as well. I'm also not sure if anyone else was using the internet for anything either. xP

Honestly, I wouldn't mind uploading short videos of when I play MMOs and such. I just know I take forever to get around to playing them and probably never able to finish campaigns in non-MMO games.

You don't need to take videos of whole campaigns. :P

My mind is going blank thinking of what recent games you've played you could video. :)

True, just random bits of playing a game here and there. xD Maybe I'll be lucky and catch some funny glitches.

xP Well there is my Steam list and I've got to get around to updating my games list in my journal.

Defiance looks hard. :-o I'm not really into shooting games but .. it looks interesting.

First person and third person shooters are drastically easier on PC than say the Vita or an Xbox 360, at least for me and Jason. x3 But Defiance is a fun game and there isn't really much of a penalty for dying either. :3

Really? I've never played a shooting game on the Vita or the PC. :p That's good that there isn't a penalty for dying LOL

The only penalty is that you lose 180 script, which I almost had 50,000 at one point.

The reason I say that PC is easier is that it allows you a more precise aiming ability. Controllers, for me, sometimes overdo it with adjustments when all I did was slightly tap the analog stick.

But! Shooters aren't for everyone, no matter what the format. xD I never thought I would be until I started playing some with Jason.

Yeah with the mouse and all that. :) I am more of a fighting game fan which is also not for everyone :D

xD Yeah. Outside of the Mortal Kombat on Sega Genesis, I won't touch fighting games. I had contemplated getting Playstation All Stars but decided against it.

Looks fun! Reminds me a bit of Borderlands, only not cartoonish. :)

Would you say Defiance is worth £10? It's on sale at the moment and I'm sort of on the fence about getting it (I've already spent quite a bit on games these last few days!).

I personally found it to be completely worth it and I had bought it when it was full price. :D

Like Rift, it offers public events but they refer to them as Ark Falls. There are random events you can drive by and help complete or just ignore them, which I have tendency to hop out of the car and shoot until either they're all dead or they kill me. lol

I also really like the fact that it really isn't gear oriented like WoW, it's mostly cosmetic. The only thing you really change out would be gun until you find the one that fits you best and then you upgrade that by mods. The only levels you really acquire are those to improve your guns/cars (you gain levels by using them often and certain levels give you perks like +4% speed for vehicles or reload speed for weapons) and your ego rating to help give you perks for your character.

Greatest thing about ego ratings is that they don't make someone a "god" just because they're higher. So if someone has played for months and their ego rating is 3,500 (I think the max is close to 5,000), if they don't know what they're doing in a PvP fight against a 300, the 300 could demolish the 3,500.
