O hai!

The name's Jaeya, and I'm a geek through and through. I've been playing games for as long as I can remember, and still have incredibly fond memories of being curled up on the sofa playing SNES games with my brother as a kid.

Nowadays, I consider myself to be a "casualcore" gamer. I don't take gaming too seriously, but I don't really fuck about, either. I like to perform to the best of my ability, but I don't go out of my way to excel, if that makes sense?

RPGs always have been, and always will be, my forté. I have also been known to dabble in the realms of survival horror, FPS and RTS. Rhythm games are a guilty pleasure (and a surefire winner at any kind of party involving alcohol, true story). I also have a slight addiction to visual novels, though my inability to read Japanese limits my options on that front quite considerably.

My gaming backlog is absolutely ridiculous. I blame Steam sales wholeheartedly. My bank account is already crying a river because of the upcoming Summer Sale.. yikes.

To end this shockingly long post, take a screenshot of my 90 Druid, Nasra. I took her through Sethekk Halls earlier out of habit, and guess what dropped?

No joke, we have the same exact disposition when it comes to playing games. Gaming is for fun! I play as best as I can and if that's not good enough for other people, tough cookies, this is how I like to play.

x3 I also have games that I bought probably a year ago and still haven't played them. I have plans to but then I always get side tracked by yet another game, so I feel your pain on the backlog of games. Though...wouldn't call it a pain, per se. Also, I'm jealous of your Raven Lord mount, it's so pretty. I tried for that AND the deathcharger from Stratholme for the longest time before I got side tracked and didn't renew my subscription.

Have you heard of Symphony? It's an awesome rhythm game that utilizes your personal music library. Or the indie game Super Hexagon? That has great songs but it's a little disorienting for me (but still didn't stop me from buying it).

People who take gaming really seriously (without playing competitively) just stagger all belief. I don't get it. Gaming is for funsies! Gaming is not for super serial. :c

It dropped completely by chance, hehe. I still don't have Rivendare's mount, though that is next on my list.. Might park my druid outside Stratholme so I don't/can't forget. :)

I've heard of Symphony, but when listening to music on my computer I tend to use last.fm, so I don't really have any sound files saved or anything. I've also heard of Super Hexagon, but it looks RIDICULOUSLY hard, so I'm avoiding it like the plague. I'm a coward like that. ;)

I could understand it if you made a living off of it, tournaments and all. But half the people in WoW I had the misfortune of running across had a serious stick up their butt and took the game like it was life or death. I think that's why I like soloing in that game or playing with friends.

Lucky! Seeing that almost makes me want to pay for a month and try on my top three characters. Good luck getting Rivendare's mount though!

Ah, okay. xP For the longest time I kept buying music so I really enjoyed playing the game with the songs I like. They have some ingame music but I'm sure that gets old after a while. Oh yeah, I'm totally terrified of Super Hexagon but my brain goes, "BUY IT. IT'S CHEAP AND ONE DAY YOU MIGHT HAVE THE BALLS TO PLAY."

haha Joshypoo and I insult each other by calling one another a "raider." :P They do seem to have that serious stick up their butt for the most part. The ones in the high progress guilds and things. :)

Rivendare's mount is impossible. We used to try for that. :P

Ugh, I know those hardcore raider types and I dislike them with a bitter passion. Some of them are just giant assholes with vocal cords. I was in a small guild (everyone pretty much knew each other in real life except for me, Jason, and his two brothers) that did really well with raids but one guy talked so much trash to anyone he didn't know personally. He said I didn't know how to play my Shaman and I restrained myself from calling him a cunt.

x3 I know someone who has done well over 100 runs for that mount before they lowered the drop rate. It's a lost dream that Blizzard has long since pummeled into dust.

Raiders... haha! I play on a restricted world in Rune for slevel 2000+ and everyone is so boring. All they do is talk about raiding and gear. I am on there because the vast majority of botters can't log in on that world.

Josiah and I started running it in BC and then through Wrath and he did more runs (solo) than me. I don't think we did 100, but even back then neither of us got it.

x.x That would be so boring. Maybe you should interject something about puppies or ice cream! Though I wouldn't mind it so much since botters are kept to a minimum.

I ran it a few dozen time probably but lose interest. Though being level 90 makes everything so much easier running through there. xD Mobs kill themselves if they manage to hit me with my lightening shield on.

I try NOT to compete against people in Runescape or any games (I don't pvp anymore.) I don't group or pvp and, for instance, if there's someone mining in a spot I want to, I just leave or switch servers so not to have to fight with them.

But then again, when it comes to achievements in games, I want to get them all even though I'm not really competing with people except on a mass level and I doubt anyone looks at mine. The same thing goes for ranking up in the hi score board on Rune.

There are people that make money off playing Rune and I can understand them being serious about things though.
