Relative Skeleton in your Game Closet

I know I can't be the only one....with a skeleton in their game closet. Sometime in your life you've probably looked at a game, though it looked interesting only to scream internally, "What the hell did I buy?" and "No one must learn of this tragedy." The worst part about it is that you loved the game. It's your dirty little secret.

So what's your dirty little secret game?

For me? Two games and one at least has the excuse that I was 8 at the time of playing it but I still secretly love it (except it's not so much a secret now, is it?).

1. Barbie for NES. This was something I played all the time as a kid whenever I was at my grandparents. I adored it. I would probably still play it today. xD

2. Secret of the Magic Crystal. This was on sale from Steam for less than a dollar. UGH, it's so cheesy to me but I was enjoying myself. "What are you playing?" "BONECRAFT. OMG, BONECRAFT WITH HORSES. Wait. NO."

I'm pretty certain I've had more but I can't currently think of them. xD

Uhm, well I have one I got for the Genesis, but listing it might offend people. But, I'm a little embarrassed about Facebook games I've played... and spent money on. Yeah I bought things in Pet Society, Hotel City, Restaurant City and Farmville. >_>

I used to play Farmville, Sims Social, and one of those chief games. I don't think I've ever dumped money into them though. I came close with one of them but knew I was eventually going to drop the games entirely.

Oddly enough, sometimes if its so cheesy it's amazing. xD Though, not always. Sometimes there are major flops.

The narrator in the second video is so right when he says that there's something about kids games that are so fun! I say the same things for books. I love the teen fiction section so much! Maybe it's the simple reading? :/

I use to love that damn chat service IMVU! I loved dressing up my character and meeting other people and making message boards for roleplay. It's embarrassing and I never tell anyone I know in RL or much in the internet world! Why did I leave? It's full of perverts that want to know if you're legal and want cyber sex! :,(

I've been finding out that I like a lot more YA genre books than I realized, like the Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare.

Speaking of children's games, I used to love playing Freddi the Fish back in the day. LOL, it was so cheesy but so much fun.

:o I think I made it as far as signing up for an IMVU account and then lost interest. xD But I've tried Second Life (never again) and Furcadia, which I was supremely lost in both of them. Second Life generally appeals to...certain people and I prefer to stay away from it. Though if I had to get into one of those three choices, at least I could make legit money from Second Life if I had any creative endeavor.

Although I haven't/won't do Second Life, I think it's amusing. My brother asked me about it and I told him it was for sex. He said he needs to do research on it. I don't understand him at all. He's an accountant. XD

Years ago I added someone to my lj and less than a week later she had joined SL and started cybering with everyone... while married. :P

Yeah, it's definitely used for a lot of cybering, that's for sure! Though if you build your character just right, you can make legit money off of it. One of Jason's friend's ex used to do that. She had a well built avatar and someone hired her avatar for a "bachelor party" and made $300 that night.

I think I watched something on A&E where a man made a living making movements people could buy for their avatar. He recently made enough money to build an indoor pool for his family (wife and 2 kids, if I remember right). Craziest thing is he had an online family on there as well and he cybered with them! His wife knew all about it and had no issues, so long as he wasn't literally going out there and having sex with other people. I personally could not stand the thought if Jason did something like that, no matter how much money he made.
